Are you the community’s next lacrosse star?  That’s what the Kahnawake Hunters will be trying to find out starting this weekend as the Founder’s Cup champions hold tryouts for both the Junior B and Junior C levels.

Kaymen Diabo will have a choice to make in the coming days, after becoming the first Kahnawake Hunters player to be drafted by teams from both leagues that vie for the Mann Cup.

Kaymen Diabo will be continuing his path in high-level lacrosse at the senior level, having been selected in the fourth round, 24th overall by Major Series Lacrosse (MSL)’s Cobourg Kodiaks.

The accolades have kept rolling in for the Kahnawake Junior B Hunters, as the 2025 team prepares to be inducted as part of the upcoming class for the North American Indigenous Athletics Hall of Fame (NAIAHF) to recognize their Founder’s Cup victory.

Right before Christmas, players from the Founder’s Cup-winning Kahnawake Junior B Hunters got to celebrate one final time as a team, where they were presented with custom-made championship rings.
