The Kateri Memorial Hospital Center (KMHC) has announced that two residents of the hospital’s Long-Term Care unit (LTC) have tested positive for COVID-19.

The KMHC said that families and staff have been notified of the outbreak, and that mandatory masking in the affected unit, Unit 2, has been reinstated.

The same staff will work in the affected area until the end of the outbreak, all group activities have been cancelled or postponed, and residents of the affected unit will not be permitted to visit other units for the time being.

The KMHC asks that no person with flu-like symptoms visit the LTC.
