Allegations under investigation

An investigation is ongoing after serious allegations were brought to the Kahnawake Education Center (KEC) regarding a staff member at the school.
In a press release on Monday, the KEC said that the matter is “currently undergoing a thorough review through both internal processes and in cooperation with the authorities.”
Since the situation concerns minors, and to respect the privacy of all involved, KEC stated that no further details can be shared at this time, and added that the situation is being handled with “diligence, discretion, and full respect for our legal obligations.”
The KEC declined to comment when reached by The Eastern Door.
The Peacekeepers confirmed that a file is open regarding the situation, but due to the sensitive and ongoing nature of the investigation, no further details can be shared.
