Investigation into social media posts

An active investigation is underway with the Peacekeepers, concerning social media posts of a “graphic nature” involving community members.
The information was shared by the Peacekeepers on their official Facebook page on Thursday afternoon, just before The Eastern Door’s publishing deadline.
It’s understood the posts are of a sexual nature, and information has been shared regarding their content on various individuals’ Facebook accounts.
In the post, the Peacekeepers said that “vigilante justice will NOT be tolerated” and urged community members to call their tip line with information that could lead to the identification of suspects.
The Peacekeepers were not immediately available for comment before The Eastern Door’s publishing deadline.
