Fire at 207 factory
Part of the Leblanc factory on Route 207 was destroyed by a fire on Wednesday evening, according to local authorities, but there were no injuries.
Emergency services were called at 5:27 p.m., with the Kahnawake Fire Brigade (KFB) and Kahnawake Peacekeepers responding. The business had already closed for the day and there were no occupants at the time the fire was reported, according to the KFB.
Due to the size of the structure, fire services from Chateauguay, Mercier, Beauharnois, and La Prairie also responded as well as a regional rehab bus for firefighters.
