Montreal police arrested a resident of Repentigny for allegedly attempting to contract someone to commit arson against High Times, a cannabis shop in Kanesatake.
Jarod Marvine Bieneus, 21, was arrested in early February after he allegedly offered to pay thousands in an arson contract to an undercover SPVM officer.
The SPVM also alleges Bieneus possessed, or appeared to have possessed, an identity document of another person, as well as a counterfeit document.
“The police did a good job,” said Robert Gabriel, owner of High Times.
The case will be back before the tribunal on April 7 for orientation, according to the deputy spokesperson for the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP).
