November 8, 2024Two new gaming commissioners
Courtesy Tewatohnhi'saktha The Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) can go back to business as usual now that there are once again three commissioners assigned to the body. The licensing and regulatory authority responsible for land-based and online gaming in Kahnawake was down to just one commissioner by late October, leaving the KGC unable to host its regularly scheduled meetings. October 25, 2024Assembly vote draws line in sand
When $47.8 billion isn’t enough and people stand up and say that, it certainly gets people in Canada to take notice.

October 18, 2024We need answers on dumping
All the dumping going on in Kanesatake for so many years has created a horrible and unhealthy situation and has divided families and broken up the firm social tenet we all used to feel of “at least we protect the land.” That isn’t the case anymore for too many community members, who welcome dumping because they benefit from it.
