Standups bring the house down

The Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language and Cultural Center (KOR)’s art centre at United Church Hall turned into the comedy centre for one night last Friday, as three standup talents took the stage for a night of local laughs.
The comedy show, one of the last few events for Cultural Awareness Month as April wound down, saw comedians Aaron McComber, Hank Leblanc, and Jo Rice each perform a set for the assembled crowd that packed into the Hall.
Kahawíhson Horne went on stage at the end of the night, the lone brave fan in the crowd to try their hand at comedy for the open mic segment.
The trio will be looking to get back on stage for more standup sets in town as the year progresses.
