Three names arrested in raids released

Three people were charged following a collaborative police raid targeting trafficking of illegal firearms in Kanesatake, Oka and Mascouche on June 17, according to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP).

The three arrested were Darlene Carmen Hogan, Nicolas Lauzon and Christophe Geoffrion, the last of whom lives in Kanesatake.

Oka resident Darlene Carmen Hogan is charged with possession of a loaded prohibited firearm without holding authorization, possession drugs and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Mascouche resident Nicolas Lauzon is charged with possession of a firearm and weapons without holding a license and storing hunting weapons “in a negligent manner or without taking reasonable precautions for the safety of others.”

Kanesatake resident Christophe Geoffrion is charged with possession of a loaded prohibited firearm without authorization, possessing a firearm without holding a license, possessing a prohibited high-capacity magazine without authorization, storing firearms in a negligent manner, attempting to commit mischief, using a firearm while attempting to commit mischief, and “carried or had in his possession a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace.”

All are scheduled to appear in the St. Jerome courthouse.
