Kahnawa’kehró:non Dexter Stacey was one of 29 drivers who participated on Sunday afternoon in the 60 Tours Rousseau Metal as part of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres.

Driving the #92 RECAP Chevrolet this weekend, Stacey qualified in the 27th position, but found himself at the front of the field following the first caution, with a vast majority of the field pitting on the eighth lap while under caution following Martin Goulet Jr. running into a wall - Stacey himself narrowly avoided running into the back of his car.

Stacey was fourth on the restart on lap 12, pulling into third in the early stages of the lap in the streets of Trois-Rivieres before being passed by eventual race winner Andrew Ranger on the next lap.

He would hold onto a top-15 position for the next two dozen laps, and it looked like Stacey would follow up last week’s top-10 finish with another solid result.

Unfortunately, his race came to an early end on lap 46 of 60, as he pulled into the pits and retiring from the race with engine troubles while the race was under caution. He was running 16th at the time.
