The air is getting crisper, which means hockey season is soon upon us.

Along with the dozens of players who will suit up for the Kahnawake Minor Hockey Association (KMHA), some will be taking their talents to high-level hockey associations accross Turtle Island.

That includes goaltender Hayse Horne, who will be returning to the U15 AAA Lac St. Louis Warriors this season.

Another player joining the AAA Warriors is Wahiarihtha Aria Kirby, who will be playing with the U13 team.

Goaltender Pryor Stacey is going to the United States to join the Cleveland Barons U16 AAA team, one of the many possible stops on the path to college hockey and, potentially, turning professional.

Jaxton McComber, meanwhile, will be staying closer to home, joining the U17 AAA Lac St. Louis Grenadiers, who play their home games in Chateauguay.

Stay tuned throughout the coming months for coverage of these young athletes and more in The Eastern Door.
