Busy times for Kahnawake minor hockey

With the season in full swing, minor hockey has taken over the lives of many Kahnawake families, as the 13 Kahnawake Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) teams take to the ice in the hopes off brining home tournament banners, reaching their respective league’s playoffs, and have some fun playing hockey.
At time of writing, here are each of those team’s records:
The U11A Mohawks are 3-3-1, fifth of 11 teams in their division.
The U11B Mohawks are 0-5, 11th of 12 teams in their division.
The U11C Mohawks are 1-5, sixth in their division, and the U11C Blackhawks are 0-5, ninth and last in their division.
The U13B Mohawks are 4-4, eighth of 12 teams in their division.
The U13C Mohawks are 0-6-1, seventh of eight teams in their division.
The U15A Mohawks are 2-3-1, eighth and last in their division.
The U15C Mohawks are 1-5-1, 16th of 17th in their division.
The U18A Mohawks are 3-3-1, third of 10 teams in their division.
The U18B Mohawks are 3-6, 10th of 13 teams in their division.
The U21 Mohawks are 1-8, 28th of 29 teams in their division.
Standings are not kept for U7 and U9 hockey.
Coming games
There’s lots on the docket this weekend for minor hockey.
On Saturday, the U15C Mohawks will host the Hudson-Rigaud-St. Lazare Hawks at 2 p.m. at the Sports Complex.
At the same time, the U11C Blackhawks will face the Cote St. Luc Canucks at 2 p.m. at Ed Meagher Arena.
The U11C Mohawks will face the LaSalle Lynx at 3 p.m. at Jacques Demers Arena.
The U13C Mohawks will host their age group’s LaSalle Lynx at the Sports Complex, also at 3 p.m.
An hour later, the U18B Mohawks will take on the Westmount Wings at the Sports Complex.
And, at 5:30 p.m., the U11B Mohawks will take on the M.R.O. Devils at Ville Mont Royal Arena.
They will have a rematch the next morning at 11 a.m. this time at Outremont Arena.
At noon, it will be an all-Kahanwake matchup as the U11C Mohawks and Blackhawks face off at the Sports Complex.
The LaSalle Lions will visit the Sports Complex at 1 p.m. to take on the U15A Mohawks.

At 2 p.m. it will be the Cote St. Luc Canucks visiting Kahnawake, taking on the U18A Mohawks at the Sports Complex.
The U13C Mohawks will face the LaSalle Lynx at Jacques Lemaire Arena at 3 p.m.
The U15C Mohawks will visit the Pierrefonds Barons at the Complexe Sportif St. Raphael at 4:30 p.m.
The U13B Mohawks will play against the Cote St. Luc White Canucks at Samuel Moskovitch Arena at 7 p.m.
And finally, the U21 Junior team will face the M.R.O. Devils at the Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m.
