(Courtesy Kahente Horn-Miller) On Tuesday, Carleton University announced that Kanien’keha’ka associate professor Kahente Horn-Miller was named the inaugural assistant vice-president of Indigenous Initiatives.

(File Photo) The Kahnawake Education Center (KEC) has started to look at several different scenarios for the new school year in the fall, and although no decision has been made yet, there’s a ton of work going on behind the scenes.

Premier Francois Legault announced recently that schools will gradually re-open in Quebec, but Kahnawake has other plans. All schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year, as stipulated by the Kahnawake COVID-19 Pandemic Task Force.

Dr. Bruemmer has been working at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre (KMHC) for almost 23 years, and with the COVID-19 pandemic, he’s had to find ways to adapt his practice quite drastically.
