It was an impressive weekend for the Onake Paddling Club at the Masters Indigenous Games last weekend in Ottawa. Six Kahnawa’kehró:non paddlers took part in the competition on Saturday for the first time ever, taking home seven golds, three silvers, and one bronze.

The Onake Paddlers would have a harder time paddling with the weight of their medals if they tried, as the girls and two boys again were a force to be reckoned with on the water.

The Eastern Door and the North (EDN) team is ready to take on the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) today, as per normal, chocked full of Kahnawake’s talented athletes across the spectrum of sports at the tournament.
