Well over 1,000 trick-or-treaters gathered in the parking lot of the Kahnawake Sports Complex on Saturday for the fifth annual Trunk or Treat, raising nearly $2,000 for the community food basket.

Kahnawake showed up in droves for the annual Remembrance Day parade on Saturday, with veterans, members of the military, and supporters gathering at the Royal Canadian Legion Mohawk Branch 219 of Kahnawake before proceeding to the Kahnawake cenotaph.

To many in the community, Halloween is synonymous with James Day’s Haunted Woods – a hotly-anticipated spooky season staple that keeps growing year after year.
